Maple Grove

Today, I’d like to take you on a tour of one of the best places to live in Minneapolis known as Maple Grove. Located in the northwest corner of the Metro, this city is home to about 60,000 people in large part for its highly ranked schools. This is one of the most popular Minneapolis suburbs because of its many lakes and 1,000 acres of natural areas that include 36 miles of trails.

Things to do in Maple Grove, MN

Another hot spot in Maple Grove is the Elm Creek Park Reserve. This serene area has 4,900 acres and consists of major trails, a white sand beach, a large mountain, playground, disc golf, a dog park, archery, and much more. It is part of the Three Rivers Parks District Park. Maple Grove is nestled in between two different school districts: the Osseo School District to the north and Wayzata to the south. While Osseo is an average-rated school and provides a stellar education for all students, Wayzata has been known as one of the highest-rated schools in the Twin Cities. Maple Grove is also one of the best places to live in Minnesota because of its clean, well-designed parks. Central Park can be found in the heart of this suburb and contains a splash pad, an outdoor ice rink, and a playground located near a lake. A three or four-story playground can also be found near City Center, which is also near an indoor ice arena. If shopping is important to you, Maple Grove has plenty of upscale shopping at Arbor Lakes and Northwest Metro. An assortment of boutique shops, restaurants, hotels, and entertainment can also be found here.

Real Estate in Maple Grove, MN

Now that we have discussed some of the activities and schools in this area, it is time to talk about real estate and buying a house in Maple Grove. Several neighborhoods may be of interest to you, including the Boundary Creek neighborhood, located on the east side of Elm Creek Park. The homes were typically built in the 1970s and measure between 2,000 and 3,000 square feet. You can expect to spend around $300,000 or $400,000 in this neighborhood. The Gleason Farms neighborhood can be found on the southwest side of Maple Grove and is a more luxurious area, with homes priced between $500,000 and $750,000. The average size of these homes can range anywhere from 3,000 to 7,000 square feet and are newer constructions compared to other neighborhoods since they were built in the mid-2000s.
